Were you drawn to this web site through some search engine query that left you with a big question mark filling one of those balloon dialog boxes floating above your head? Expecting an answer by coming to this page? Well, here goes...

The Globe-Guardian has been attempting to amuse web surfers since June of 1998. I have no idea if I've been successful, but I keep renewing my domain and paying the rent on my web space anyway -- just in case.

Content varies from month-to-month, depending on inspiration and submissions from volunteer contributors. Updates can occur at any time -- whenever breaking humor hits.

FEATURES

Globe-Guardian offerings include FutureNews™ stories, in which the intrepid journalists from our fabled staff of hundreds brave our exclusive and potentially dangerous PEEKING technology to get a look-see at where current events might be going in our not-too-distant (in most cases) futures.

Two Globe-Guardian columnists provide new articles on an irregular basis. M. Hutton takes a humorous slant on some of life's common foibles in Reality Bytes. Historical interviews with persons familiar yet unknown to most readers can be found in Obscure Celebrities. New every month are cartoons from Mo Paul, whose talents are showcased on Toons of Our Times.

Standing features which only occasionally see new additions include the Blimp Spotters Brigade, an international organization that maintains a constant vigil in its ongoing and never-ending effort to establish the true purpose of these menacing airships. Also found among the Globe-Guardian pages is the Borg Alumni Association, which welcomes all former members and possible members of the Collective to reap the benefits of their past lives as drones.

Impertinent answers to infrequently asked questions may appear from time to time whenever the mood strikes AnswerMan. New sites deemed humorous by a standing Globe-Guardian Site Nomination, Review, Acquisitions and Appropriations Committee (which doubles as a weekday afternoon bowling league) may at times be found on the Ludicrous Links page.

Currently dormant offerings residing in our archives include the Church of the Rotate Your Envelope Stock, a "religism" founded on the ideal of tolerance, which became inactive following the untimely death of its founder and pastor, The Late Very Left Rev. Oral Groove. Also archived, especially for those a little on the warped humor side, are selections from Twisted Lister.

THE FINAL ANSWER

The answer to the question posed at the top of this page is, therefore, is that the Globe-Guardian is simultaneously about "everything and nothing." This being such a dynamic entity, things sometimes get moved a bit.

Thanks for stopping by.
